saturation point
You do reach a point in your life, when every new person you meet reminds you of someone else.

This, I always thought, was the best part of how Miss Marple solved mysteries.

That's so great! I'd never thought of Miss Marple as raw the-old-having-it-on-the-young.

That's true.

She was one of the very early profilers, was Miss Profile. A headful of village types.

ah there's two ways to answer that.
should you already know it? not necessarily.
should you get to know it? i like her work.

but the reason i posted it was as a visual representation of the big smile your entry put on my face. words get the job done, but they're so well-worn.

(when i was about eleven and twelve i read just about everything christie'd ever written)

Oh!

So whose work is it?

That was a lovely period of reading. For me, it was later, when I was in my very late teens, reading through all the Miss Marples on Eurorail.

Thanks!

I like the way the image and the color overlap as if they're on two different planes.

That's great. In class de Man once said that at his age (early sixties) everyone looked alike; there were only about fourteen basic faces. ("When you have the misfortune to be as old as I am.")

Oh, I like that, too. Seeing what permutations and clusters of the same fourteen will appear in class after class.
